VirginMobile USA debuts wireless Internet

Virgin Mobile USA has launched Broadband2Go, a 3G nationwide wireless Internet service, bringing 3G level wireless Internet to the pay-as-you-go mobile service.

The Internet service was developed in conjunction with Novatel Wireless and runs on the Sprint Nationwide Network on Virgin’s MC760 Broadband2Go device.

The device will be available exclusively at Best Buy Mobile starting in late June, becoming the first prepaid broadband product offered by the retailer. VirginMobile USA’s partnership with Best Buy Mobile will also make the new Broadband2Go available at airport kiosks later this summer.

Coinciding with the release, Virgin Mobile USA has also launched a new social media forum on their Web site through the Bazaarvoice Ask & Answer platform. The software-as-a-service product lets consumers create social question and answer sessions about products to share their experiences about products.
