The Nation applies for BPA audit

The Nation, the United States’ oldest weekly magazine, has applied for consumer magazine membership with media auditor BPA Worldwide.

BPA will track The Nation’s circulation size, source makeup, pricing and geographic coverage.

The title, published by New York-based Nation Company L.P., will have 12 months to complete its initial circulation audit.

A respected political journal, The Nation is to the left what The Weekly Standard is to the right. It has both print and online editions.

The decision to undergo an audit by BPA is designed to help The Nation win more credibility with media buyers seeking an independent circulation audit. This data will then help media buyers make advertising recommendations for their advertiser clients based on the audience numbers delivered.
