Sitecore partners with ADAM software to provide high-end digital asset management to enterprise customers

Customer experience management platform Sitecore announced today that it is partnering with digital asset management tool ADAM software.

With the big push towards content marketing this year, the integration gives Sitecore’s enterprise customers a high-end digital asset management tool which acts as a centralized hub for their rich media marketing content. Through Sitecore multiple marketing channels, this content can then be tweaked, optimized and delivered in a targeted manner to customers.

Previously, Sitecore offered a media library (and other DAM integrations) to serve as a digital content repository for its customers, but the new ADAM integration has more features and is geared specifically towards enterprise marketers. “The agreement with ADAM Software serves the higher end of the market,” says Sitecore’s VP of product marketing Mark Floisand. “It is for content professionals who have a need for complex rich media management across all channels, regions and phases of the customer journey.”

Floisand says the biggest advantage of the new offering is the time it saves by making workflows more efficient. “The combination addresses key business challenges, including time and resources wasted duplicating digital content, searching for rich media content, and managing content usage rights and guidelines,” says Floisand. “When DAM and CXM solutions work together, marketers save time and money and can be more effective.”

The features of the ADAM integration include:

– Full access to searchable asset and metadata in the ADAM system, centrally managed and visible from within the Sitecore interface.

–  ADAM rights management to ensure that users stay compliant with IP usage rights across all sites.

– Insights into all content use and analytics about content performance.

– All asset changes can be uniformly enforced across multiple experience delivery channels. Updates to centrally held assets are automatically published to Sitecore along with notifications to the user.

Sitecore has previously positioned itself as a competitor to the enterprise marketing clouds, and with this new integration it is going head to head with Adobe’s DAM solution within Adobe Experience Manager. Although ADAM has been rated as a Strong Performer by Forrester’s  Wave report on Customer Experience Management platform in 2012 (even rated ahead of Adobe on Strategy) but Adobe continues to be dominant in the space. Last year, it was named the only leader in Forrester’s report on Web Content Management for Digital Customer Experience.
