Obama increases search efforts

It seems Obama’s camp has stepped up its search game. According to this posting on Reprise Media’s search blog, two weeks ago Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama began expanding keyword bids from generic search terms and non-optimized landing pages, to more specific issue-centric keywords with corresponding landing pages.

Last week our executive editor, Sharon Goldman noted that Obama has been doing better in natural search rankings, while McCain has done more paid search advertising.

It will be interesting to see how the two candidates’ search marketing evolves and changes after each of the remaining debates. Stay tuned…
