Kolb to replace Landsberg in MRM top spot

MRM Worldwide global president and COO Bill Kolb will succeed Marc Landsberg as CEO of the direct and digital agency after a months-long transition period.

Landsberg, who serves as both chief executive of MRM and president of corporate business development at parent agency McCann Worldgroup, will focus on his strategic development and acquisition work at McCann. He will also serve as MRM’s non-executive chairman, McCann said in a statement.

Kolb has served as global president and COO of MRM since 2007, working with clients including General Motors Corp., Verizon, Dell and Johnson & Johnson Services. He previously served as MRM’s CFO and COO and global president and COO of Momentum from 2000 to 2004. Prior to joining McCann, he was president of IMS, a global retail strategy group.

Landsberg previously served as a director of Lake Capital, leading its strategy and acquisition efforts in the marketing services area. He has also worked at Arc Worldwide and Leo Burnett.

The Interpublic Group of Companies, the parent company of both McCann and MRM, reported July 28 that its second-quarter revenue increased 4.7% to $1.74 billion year-over-year.

McCann said last month that it will launch a New York-based “marketing sciences” unit that will integrate performance analytics and marketing intelligence into its services.

MRM combined its Americas operation with that of McCann Erickson Salt Lake City this month.
