MRM Americas combined with McCann Salt Lake City

McCann Worldgroup subsidiary MRM Worldwide has combined its Americas operation with McCann Erickson Salt Lake City (McCann SLC). The move will result in a single operating unit with more than 1,200 North American employees across disciplines including digital, creative, marketing and CRM.

McCann SLC CEO David Boede will assume the newly created role of president of MRM Americas, overseeing offices in Toronto, New York, Princeton, N.J., Detroit, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Boede had served as chief executive of McCann SLC since November 2004. He was previously CEO of marketing firm Boede & Partners from 2001 to 2004 and worked as a partner at Euro RSCG Worldwide from 1985 to 1999.

McCann SLC is a 200-employee agency that focuses on advertising, salesforce automation and channel marketing for technology companies.

MRM Worldwide now has 1,900 employees globally and 800 in the US.

“Individually, each MRM office provides a strong digital offering,” Boede said in a statement. “But the combination of digital and CRM best practices across all offices provides clients with unprecedented access to world-class talent.”

MRM Worldwide clients include Intel Corp., Wells Fargo and Century 21 Real Estate. The agency declined to comment on the matter.
