Chinese Internet Company to Use DoubleClick's DART Technology

DoubleClick Inc. has signed an agreement with NetEase.com Inc. to let the Beijing-based company use its DART technology, DoubleClick said yesterday.

The Internet company will use the technology to enable its advertisers to target customers in China more easily.

The cost and other terms were not disclosed.

Under the agreement, NetEase.com will use DoubleClick's DART — Dynamic Advertising Reporting and Tracking — technology as its exclusive advertising management solution.

“Because of this new partnership, we are able to offer advertisers a platform to better target and profile users on NetEase's communications network, including www.163.com, China's top-ranked Web site,” King Lai, CEO of NetEase.com, said in a statement.

DoubleClick, New York, entered the Chinese market six months ago and said it has signed more than 20 Internet companies in the country.
