H&R Block, Kansas City, MO, yesterday announced a direct mail promotional campaign in conjunction with video-rental giant Blockbuster Inc., Dallas.
The mailers, which will be dropped in January, will be coupons that consumers can redeem along with H&R Block receipts for Blockbuster GiftCards. The cards can be used for purchases and rentals at Blockbuster stores.
H&R Block customers who use the company's tax preparation services will receive a $15 GiftCard, while clients who open a minimum $2,000 H&R Block investment account will receive a $50 GiftCard.
H&R Block did not release how many consumers will receive the coupon, nor did the company specify who would be targeted by the marketing effort.
