Warner Music Group, New York, and RealNetworks Inc., Seattle, have formed an alliance to jointly distribute music from recording artists on Warner Music's label in MP3 format for digital downloading.
Starting in November, Warner will offer current hit singles and special Internet-only tracks on Web retailing sites, including Amazon.com and Walmart.com.
Features artists will include Paul Simon, Barenaked Ladies, and Collective Soul.
