Worldata said yesterday that it will be the list manager for autobytel.com, the Internet car-buying service. The first names available will be the postal names in early June, followed by the e-mail names.
All names will adhere to the guidelines of the Direct Marketing Association's privacy promise. The availability of e-mail names also will be subject to an opt-in program instituted by autobytel.com. Jay Schwedelson, vice president of Worldata, said that there will be 1 million opt-in names to start out with and that the list is growing by 150,000 each month.
Autobytel.com's brand awareness and targeted marketing programs attract serious car buyers to its Web site, where they find what they need to buy a car in a pleasing environment and at the price they're looking for.
