WineWeb Enterprises Inc., Santa Fe, NM, reported March 15 that wine merchants now can post their product catalogs on its Web site, WineWeb.com, while consumers now can place orders with wine merchants and wineries.
WineWeb was founded in 1995 as a wine information clearinghouse and today has a database of 22,000 wineries from around the world. Until now, consumers could only search for wines by name, geographical region, winery and upcoming releases. There is also a search function for wine clubs. In addition, the site provides a centralized portal to accelerate the process of determining which wineries will ship to a desired location.
