Russell Dyer, Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Mondelēz International, has announced plans to exit the company and pursue other leadership opportunities in corporate affairs, according to his LinkedIn post.

Dyer commenced his tenure at Mondelēz International in 2015 as vice president of global communications. He rose through the ranks to serve as vice president and chief of communications and international government affairs in 2018, ultimately securing his current executive role in 2021.

During his run at Mondelēz, Dyer committed himself to the initiation and execution of their purpose platform, helping the company navigate the challenges introduced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

His efforts significantly impacted the company’s corporate affairs division’s growth.

Mondelēz International’s CEO and Chairman, Dirk Van de Put, extolled Dyer’s exceptional contributions and proactive approach. He displayed deep appreciation for Dyer’s dedication and wished him well on his forthcoming journey.

Prior to Mondelēz, Dyer had successful tenures at Kraft Foods and Weber Shandwick, where he exceeded in his roles, contributing to both growth strategies and profitability. Additionally, he served as a manager at HomeSource Real Estate Asset Management, expanding his skills and experiences in the real estate sector.

With Dyer’s departure, Mondelēz International now has to fill a crucial executive vacancy. The company, owner of popular brands like Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Triscuit, Cadbury, Trident, and Sour Patch Kids, posted strong financial results for Q4 of 2023 with a 7.1% year-over-year increase in net revenue.

Post-Dyer, the senior leadership of Mondelēz International aims to continue its growth strategy, which includes adapting to global nutritional trends and consumer preferences, extending their digital footprint, and finding a successor capable of steering the company through an exciting period of growth and expansion.`
