Salesforce.com Delivers Online CRM

Salesforce.com yesterday made available its online CRM service.

San Francisco-based Salesforce.com offers companies the ability to view different levels of customers and prospects online at any time through its tracking, reporting, analysis and forecasting services. Information is also accessed via cell phones, Palm devices and pagers.

For $50 per month, per user, the service includes sales force automation, customer support management and marketing automation components. Training, customer support, upgrades and updates are included in the monthly charge.

“It’s possible that without Salesforce.com, we would have spent $6 million on traditional enterprise software,” said Mike Bauer, vice president, northern region sales at Siemen’s Power T&D.

Bauer said Salesforce.com took just days to implement and “provides us with a powerful service that helps our sales, customer support and marketing departments work together to grow and retain our customer relationships.”

Other Salesforce.com customers include Time-Warner’s Road Runner Division, Neoforma.com and Convergent Communications.
