RR Donnelley has added several direct mail capabilities to its CustomPoint Web-to-print platform.
The company introduced CustomPoint in 2006 to connect customers to its premedia, production, logistics and business services capabilities.
The new features include direct mail campaign management, including online de-duping, list segmentation, record lock out, CASS certification, and multi-touch and subscription campaigns; point-and-click prospecting, with the ability to purchase prospect data online according to demographic selection criteria; and personalized URLs to link direct mail with personalized landing pages for tracking campaign effectiveness.
The new functionality reflects the needs of clients such as retailers, multi-channel marketers, financial services providers and pharmaceutical companies, according to RR Donnelley in a statement.
“These enhancements bring a powerful combination of online prospecting resources, digital printing, on-demand fulfillment and campaign management capabilities onto our customers’ desktops,” said Mary Lee Schneider, chief technology officer at RR Donnelley, in the statement. “RR Donnelley continues to lead the industry through integration of sophisticated direct marketing tools with a system that enables kitting, fulfillment, customized digital printing, inventory management and more.”
