MicroAge Inc., Tempe, AZ, said this month that it would sell its teleservices unit to United Parcel Service Inc., Atlanta, rather than at a court auction.
UPS purchased the teleservices division for $11.5 million, according to MicroAge.
MicroAge put its teleservices division up for sale as part of its reorganization under Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Phoenix. MicroAge Teleservices employs about 1,000 associates and has call centers in Tempe, Las Vegas and Santa Maria, CA.
