Here are a few updates on essential global tech news.

Significant changes are underway at M&C Saatchi Talk, following the departure of key leader, Boardman. Recognized for her instrumental role in establishing the brand and extending its services across fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle sectors, her exit initiates substantial shifts. The agency’s future vision involves a global expansion, with the introduction of new PR offices around the world.

Ryan Woor, co-founder and COO of M&C Saatchi Talk, will oversee UK operations during this transitional period. With her comprehensive industry knowledge and leadership skills, Woor will ensure business continuity and productivity, until a suitable successor for Boardman is identified.

In another industry development, W Communications is on course to enlarge its operations. By acquiring the celebrity-oriented agency founded by Chloe Franses, the company plans to diversify its services beyond traditional PR practices. The agency will be rebranded as Franses Global, specializing in celebrity partnerships, with an aim to increase its global footprint significantly.

Improving their tech services, Portland Communications has recruited a former high-ranking British diplomat associated with a security-tech startup accelerator. This new recruit will be entrusted with integrating AI into the agency’s activities, increasing employee awareness of deepfakes and disinformation, and advising clients on secure and transparent use of these technologies.

On the hospitality front, luxury conglomerate Nobu has enlisted a consumer communications firm to manage its property communications in Marylebone, London. Working on a retained basis, this move is designed to strengthen and streamline Nobu’s communication channels.

In terms of geographic and product expansion, Katch International and Portland Communications have both announced new initiatives. Katch International is opening an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, signifying its commitment to growth. Simultaneously, Portland Communications is raising its tech game with the addition of a former diplomat-turned-investor, who now advises major tech companies. This strategic move aligns Portland at the vanguard of technological progression.
