Saturday’s Alright for Shipping, But Maybe Not Mailing

What is it? In preparation for USPS’s planned phase-out of Saturday mail service (should congress choose not to intervene), Trend Offset Printing is scheduling sessions for its customers to help them plan for the five-day delivery schedule.

Who’s talking? “We have anticipated this significant decision by the USPS and recognize the need to look at a print distribution schedules,” says president Tom Balutis.

Platforms Are Made For Integrating

What is it? E-commerce marketing software maker EPiServer and marketing technology provider Silverpop announce plans to integrate their platforms to enable marketers to tailor campaigns to individuals, based on their digital behaviors.

WIIFM? The companies claim that marketers using the merged platform will be better able to deliver personalized content to key segments and track how individuals navigate the purchase path.

Who’s talking? “By delivering a more integrated digital presence our customers will improve the experience for their customers and prospects and more efficiently increase their revenue,” says Will Schnabel, Silverpop’s SVP of global business development.

 

Datonics Does the MediaMath

What is it? Online data company Datonics partners with digital media buying platform MediaMth to maximize campaign ROI by leveraging 350 keyword-derived customer segments packaged by Datonics.

WIIFM? Access to proprietary search, purchase intent, and life-stage data to optimize search results.

Who’s talking? “Data is a must-have in digital advertising,” says Datonics CEO Michael Benedek.

What is it? The Anametrix Plug-In for Microsoft Excel, which embeds new marketing analytics capabilities directly into the Excel user interface.

WIIFM? Anametrix promises that users of the product can create, refresh, upload, and schedule reports from multichannel marketing data. It also boasts that the product delivers real-time access to all vendor and corporate data directly within the application marketers most frequently use for data analysis and reporting: Excel.

Who’s talking? “The Anametrix digital-analytics platform was designed by marketers for marketers,” says CEO Pelin Thorogood. “We know marketers use Excel, so, rather than trying to force customers to use only the Anametrix interface, our new Anametrix Plug-in for Excel delivers bi-directional data access between Anametrix and Excel.”

A Meteor Strike From Rio SEO

What is it? Rio SEO’s recent acquisition of Meteor Solutions results in the launch of a new suite of social media marketing products to assist marketers with large-scale, social-sharing campaign analysis.

WIIFM? The Rio SEO Social Media Suite encompasses three software programs that promise to help marketers measure and optimize social campaigns, segment digital advertising among brand advocates, and automate effective social engagement

Who’s talking? “The combination of search marketing and social media strategies supported by advanced software tools to help execute at scale is what separates great content and discovery marketers from also-rans.” says CEO Russ Mann.

EXECUTIVE MOVES

Who it is: Peter Ransome, named VP Sales and Marketing at Westbrook Technologies, a provider of software for content and document management

What’s his role: He will be responsible for leading Westbrook’s sales and marketing teams, continuing to develop relationships with the company’s technology and channel partners, and strengthening its industry position.

Where was he prior: Ransome served as vice president of healthcare, channels and marketing at Diversified Information Technologies. He co-founded and was CMO of Active Data Services, a business processing outsourcing firm.

Why was he appointed:. “Peter will help drive our targeted sales programs and develop partnerships to support our solutions, while playing an instrumental role in achieving our business goals,” says CEO Einar Haukeland
