I was reading with great interest Tad Clarke’s ideas for the DMA Hall of Fame (“Who Should Be Added to the DMA’s Hall of Fame,” June 28), and I needed to add another great name in the industry: Rubin.
William and Arlene Rubin started Rubin Response Services 30 years ago and led this company to be one of the top direct marketing companies. They did it with integrity, brains, heart and lots of hard work.
William also co-founded the direct mail educational programs at Roosevelt and Oakton. Their employees love and respect them, their clients feel the same.
Sadly, we lost William Rubin unexpectedly Sept. 18, 2002. Arlene Rubin continues to run the business with the vision they shared and with the heart that was always the foundation of Rubin Response Services.
I feel it would be a great honor to recognize their achievements and let someone of their caliber be honored.
