Launchpoint Inc. has purchased the outbound telemarketing unit of Acacia International from telecommunications company ComSpan USA, Launchpoint said yesterday.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed. Portland, OR-based Launchpoint, which provides mailing services for small and medium-sized businesses, will use the outbound calling center to support its sales and marketing efforts, particularly for its Zairmail product.
ComSpan USA recently acquired Acacia and will retain its inbound calling operations. ComSpan also provide Launchpoint with access to its teleservices technology platform for future upgrades as part of the agreement.
Mark Hollis, Acacia's former general manager, will go to Launchpoint as director of teleservices.
