Jupiter Media Metrix Research has teamed with invitation-only e-mail rewards program provider e-Rewards and will add the company's 700,000 members to its roster of research panels.
E-Rewards pays its membership, which is made up of affluent North Americans, to read and react to e-mail.
The company works with sponsors such as Blockbuster, Delta Airlines, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Hilton Hotels, United Airlines and Vail Resorts.
“Utilizing our database and proprietary targeting software, Jupiter can now quickly and cost effectively reach previously hard-to-reach research targets,” said John Rothwell, chief strategy officer of e-Rewards.
Jupiter said it previously worked with e-Rewards and that the company has supported several of its research efforts.
More than a third of e-Rewards' member base also participates in the business-to-business aspect of its e-Rewards channel. Advertisers and researchers use the channel to reach decision-making executives and find out their thoughts on products before they are released to the market.
