Infotopia to Stake a Place on Amex Through Acquisition by EntrePort

EntrePort Inc. would acquire all of the assets and assume the liabilities of Infotopia Inc., a direct response television and Internet marketer, as part of a deal for which Infotopia has signed a letter of intent, the DRTV company said yesterday.

When the acquisition is completed, the publicly traded EntrePort, which provides offline and online training to real estate professionals, will change its name to Infotopia, allowing Infotopia to apply to be listed on the American Stock Exchange.

Infotopia, Raynham, MA, hopes that the Amex exposure will increase the company's market recognition and foster continued revenue growth. The company reported that it earned roughly $36 million in revenue over the past four months.

EntrePort, Vista, CA, will issue 13.1 million shares of common stock.

Infotopia primarily markets fitness products, including the Total Tiger, Body by Jake Bun & Thigh Rocker and the Torso Tiger.
