IBM and CompUSA are providing computing solutions to small Internet business owners with a new marketing initiative. The first small business packages are two solutions that will be PC- and server-based and designed to address different stages of growth for an emerging e-business.
Customers visiting one of the 45 CompUSA Business Centers throughout the country can consult with specialists and choose from a range of IBM hardware, software and service options that can be customized. IBM's Internet solution base package for small businesses includes an IBM PC with monitor and modem and IBM Internet Connection Services, IBM's Startup for e-commerce and Home Page Creator software applications.
