Greco steps down as DMA CEO; group starts search for replacement

John Greco resigned from his post as president and CEO of the Direct Marketing Association on January 19 after more than five years in the position. The organization convened a search committee to find his replacement the same day.

The DMA would not comment further when reached by DMNews. An organization source said Greco’s was the only resignation of the day and that the DMA expected to take three to five months to complete the search.

Ramesh Lakshmi-Ratan, former EVP and COO of the DMA, left the organization September 18. He now leads a division at Pitney Bowes. The DMA did not fill his position.

“The committee will conduct an aggressive search, and I’m confident that we will find an exceptionally qualified individual to fulfill the DMA’s vision and goals,” said Eugene Raitt, chairman of the DMA board of directors, in a statement.
