Google Powers Search on Colorado.gov

Colorado’s state Web site has enhanced access to state government information by launching a search engine to answer specific questions involving Colorado legislation.

The site’s 2.5 million monthly visitors now can search Colorado.gov with Google’s search engine technology.

Rich Olsen, general manager of colorado.gov, said that before Google got involved, the state’s search engine was not up to industry standards.

“This allows citizens better access to their government,” he said.
