Market research and data analysis firm Ruf Strategic Solutions said yesterday that it will create a customer database solution with Airline Automation Inc. sourced from airline reservations systems.
The solution, AirPower Direct, combines an air carrier's passenger reservation data with demographic, mail-order and proprietary Ruf lifestyle information.
According to Ruf Strategic Solutions, Olathe, KS, fewer than 20 percent of passengers belong to frequent-flier programs, making it difficult for carriers to establish contact with them, Ruf said.
AirPower Direct is a suite of products designed to facilitate an airline's customer relationship management and direct marketing strategies.
