DoubleClick Extends Privacy Campaign

DoubleClick, New York, said Friday it will extend its Internet Privacy Education Campaign to serve at least 100 million impressions, doubling the company’s initial commitment of 50 million impressions.

The banner advertisement campaign links consumers to www.privacychoices.org, a DoubleClick site devoted to educating consumers about Internet privacy choices.

The campaign began Feb. 14 in response to negative press and a government investigation into DoubleClick’s use of online information it gathers through banner advertisements.
