Cox Target Media Will Use trackmymail.com to Monitor ValpakDelivery

Cox Target Media, a direct mail marketing company and provider of Valpak network products, will use tracking solutions provider trackmymail.com to provide tracking services for all Valpak mailings beginning in July. The deal was announced at the 2006 DM Days New York Conference & Expo.

Cox Target Media mails more than 525 million of their familiar blue Valpak envelopes to 45 million unique addresses throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. The envelopes are stuffed with offers from a blend of local and national businesses who use the envelope to help market their businesses. Knowing when that mail gets delivered, and that it gets delivered on time, is critical to the success of the advertising.

Founded in 2000, Gaithersburg, MD-based trackmymail.com uses a USPS technology known as the Planet Code to track mail as it moves through automated sorting equipment at the USPS. The Planet Code is a special barcode that is printed on the mail piece. Using that identifying code, trackmymail.com can follow mail across

Cox Target Media, Largo, FL, uses the tracking information to know how and when the USPS is handling their mail. Providing consistent delivery is essential to Cox, its dealers and their advertisers.

Valpak had been using the service for several years to track certain trouble areas, Mr. Lewis said.
