Data processor CMS Direct said yesterday that it formed an alliance with e-mail database services provider FreshAddress to help clients of both companies expand their customer databases.
CMS Direct, Minneapolis, operates the CMS service bureau as well as cooperative database Prefer Network, which has 100 million households and offers transactional data down to the SKU level.
FreshAddress Inc., Newton, MA, provides e-mail validation, appending and change of address services. It has an opt-in database of about 200 million records and also has partnerships with database providers Acxiom, Equifax and infoUSA.
According to FreshAddress, it can improve clients' lists by 10 percent to 12 percent on its initial audit and another 25 percent through regular list appending and hygiene.
