America Online and Time Warner said yesterday that they will open their cable-television lines to multiple Internet service providers after the companies merge.
AOL Time Warner is committed to offering consumers a choice among Internet providers and won’t require consumers to purchase a service that is affiliated with the company in order to receive the companies’ broadband service, AOL said in a statement.
AOL Time Warner also will not have a limit on the number of ISPs with access to the system and won’t limit consumer access to the service.
