Quebecor World Inc. will use Agfa Delano software at its international prepress and printing facilities, the worldwide commercial printing company said yesterday.
The software will enhance communication among participants in the production process, including prepress and printing professionals and creative and customer support staff.
The Agfa-Gevaert Group, based in Mortsel, Belgium, developed the system at the request and with the assistance of Quebecor, Montreal. Development began in 1995 at Image Building NV, Antwerp, Belgium. Agfa bought a 70 percent share in the company last year.
The financial value of the agreement between Quebecor and Agfa was not disclosed.
