Agency.com Realigns, Sheds Jobs

Interactive shop Agency.com cut roughly 90 jobs, or one-fifth of its work force, after closing its Atlanta and Woodbridge, NJ, offices and reducing headcount in the New York and Boston outposts.

The redundancies follow the decision to integrate Agency.com offices into two regions. Don Scales, formerly president of the Western region, has been named CEO of the newly named Agency.com: North America. His counterpart across the Atlantic, Eben Lenderking, has been appointed CEO of Agency.com: Europe.

Separately, Agency.com has won new business from restaurant chain Wendy's International Inc. The agency implemented a content management system for Wendy's High School Heisman program, which honors students who excel in academics, athletics and community service nationwide.

“Our work was limited to reworking the information architecture, updating content and adding in the reporting functionality,” said Melissa Holden, spokeswoman for Agency.com.

Available at www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com, the site is now better geared to accept entries for the awards program.
