MyOnlyCatalog.com, a service provider hosting online catalogs, marked its debut by mailing 2 million announcements to prospects this week. An additional mailing of 5 million to 10 million will be sent out next month. The exact total will be based on the return rate of this week's mailing. MyOnlyCatalog.com made its debut with a lineup of 120 catalogs and a weekly sweepstakes prize of a $2,500 shopping spree during the holidays. The company rented lists from Mokrynski & Associates Inc., Hackensack, NJ. The company has agreements with more than 740 catalog companies. By the end of the month it expects 500 catalogers to be on its Web site. Visitors will be able to use one “shopping bag” as they survey hundreds of merchants at the site. “We're hoping to get bigger names now that we've launched, and advertising is going out,” said Phillip Berlin, CEO of MyOnlyCatalog.com Inc., Irvine, CA. About 40 percent of the catalogers on the site have their own e-commerce sites. Those that don't will mention the site's address in mail pieces or catalogs.
