YesMail, Chicago, has debuted its e-mail list management service, which allows marketers and publishers to outsource the development, maintenance, sale and delivery of their opt-in databases, the company said yesterday.
The company said it can help marketers develop a permission-based e-mail list or can work with existing lists. YesMail works with the list owner to generate revenue by delivering relevant offers and promotions specific to members' interests.
“By efficiently managing lists and identifying new marketing opportunities for those lists, we help clients make the most of their list assets,” said Dave Menzel, YesMail's CEO.
List management clients will work with a dedicated list manager who actively promotes and sells the list, the company said. The managers also make recommendations on customer retention and privacy standards. Clients can access the list data through YesMail's online YesConnect service.
YesMail said its new service is now managing 13 branded lists totaling more than 8 million names. Clients include JobsOnline, OfficeMax.com, MapBlast, Spedia.com, Snowball.com and eCRUSH.com.
Karen DeMars, president and co-founder of online relationship site eCRUSH.com, said using YesMail's list management services helped her company expand its list by 400,000 names.
YesMail said it can develop customized lists for marketers from its branded lists under management. It also can develop lists from its 18 million-member YesMail Network.
