The WPP Group, New York, an advertising and marketing services company, yesterday bought UK-based marketing communications agency Marketing Perspectives Ltd., to expand its services in the growing relationship marketing sector. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. This is not the first partnership in Europe for WPP, which has one-third of its Branding and Identity, Healthcare and Specialist Communications businesses in the United Kingdom and continental Europe. Perspectives, whose client roster includes American Express, Carlsberg-Tetley, Eurobell, Hewlett-Packard, Orange and Virgin Interactive, will maintain its brand identity and management structure.
