Former Direct Marketing Association president/CEO H. Robert Wientzen joined the board of directors of Datagence Inc., the multichannel data and media provider said yesterday.
Wientzen will be involved with Datagence's management team on products, services and acquisitions, the Red Bank, NJ, firm said.
“With the rapid growth of Datagence, we felt it was important to bring somebody on board with such a resume of expertise and a fruitful track record within the direct marketing industry as Bob has,” CEO Paul Chachko said in a statement.
Other members of the Datagence board are Chachko; Ravi Yadav, co-founder of Datagence and managing partner of Sunaria Corp.; Charles Stryker, founder of Naviant and managing partner of Venture Development Corp.; Barton Farber, former president of R.R. Donnelley & Sons and current managing partner of Atrium Capital; and Joseph Falkenstein, general partner of NJTC Venture Fund.
Datagence this month announced its acquisition of multichannel affinity marketing firm Memberdrive for an undisclosed sum.
The company has satellite sales offices in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Des Moines, IA.
