Pantene Phillipines does a fantastic job pointing out the struggles of women at the workplace, in this latest ad for its shampoo.
The ad, titled “Labels Against Women,” draws special attention to the hypocrisy of people evaluating the same actions performed by men and women. Set to a haunting cover of Mad World by Tears for Fears, it shows women and men performing the same tasks, but being labeled differently every time.
The agency responsible for the spot is Manila-based BBDO Guerrero.
Even Facebook COO, and current gender equality champion Sheryl Sandberg took notice of the ad, posting the video to her Facebook page:
In an advertising world full of gender stereotypes, its refreshing to see an ad that tries to break them.
