UPS launches UPS Express Critical

UPS has launched UPS Express Critical, a service that interlocks all of UPS’s same-day and urgent capabilities into a single suite, allowing customers to better manage package and heavy freight shipments together.

Customers now have one point of contact, whether they’re shipping a small package or a large one – air or ground, domestic or international.

“Both small package and existing UPS freight customers with any weight shipment will benefit from our new service,” said Diana Hatcher, public relations representative for UPS.

In addition, customers will have just one call center, one bill and one Web site to track their truly urgent shipments, getting rid of any possible confusion.

The single contact for all urgent shipping was created by UPS by combining the capabilities of UPS SonicAir, the UPS Airlines and UPS Freight.

UPS has access to any type of aircraft or vehicle around the world – both those in its own fleets and those of vendors. This means customers have many time options, specialized equipment, communication systems, advanced tracking and worldwide reach to meet their needs.

UPS Express Critical makes billing simple, allowing package shippers to bill their freight shipments on their package account and vice versa.

This same-day critical service works for any size or weight shipment while bringing tracking and billing together on a single platform.

“Ever since our acquisition in freight, we have tried to make business seamless for customers,” Hatcher said. “We’d like it to be convenient to work with UPS.”
