TJX Taps Coremetrics

Coremetrics, San Mateo, CA, a provider of hosted Web analytics, marketing and merchandising solutions, said yesterday that The TJX Companies Inc. selected hosted Web analytics to track and analyze online customer behavior for six Web sites.

The sites are www.tjmaxx.com, www.marshallsonline.com, www.homegoods.com, www.aj-wright.com, www.winners.ca and www.bobstores.com.

The TJX Companies, Framingham, MA, is an off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions. It operates 771 T.J. Maxx, 697 Marshalls, 216 HomeGoods, 130 A.J. Wright stores and 32 Bob's Stores in the United States. The company operates 168 Winners and 40 HomeSense stores in Canada and 170 T.K. Maxx stores in Europe.

It will use Coremetrics 2005, a Web analytics platform that captures all customer and visitor clickstream activity to build Lifetime Individual Visitor Experience Profiles that serve as the foundation for e-business initiatives, including marketing, merchandising and site design. Clients can integrate LIVE Profiles with back-office or multichannel data to enable better online execution as well as bring LIVE Profiles into their multichannel data warehousing environments for CRM initiatives.

The TJX Companies said it expects to use Coremetrics' profile-based Web analytics to improve online business performance.
