Structural Graphics' Wings BTB Company Takes Flight

Structural Graphics, which specializes in three-dimensional direct mail, announced yesterday the launch of Wings, a company focused on small to midsize business-to-business marketers.

Wings, West Chicago, IL, will serve smaller BTB firms that don't use ad agencies and typically can't afford Structural Graphics' 3D products because of the cost of traditional press runs, according to Structural Graphics, Essex, CT. Wings will use new print technology that allows preprinted designs to be customized and personalized to reduce costs and improve turnaround times.

The Internet will be the main way for Wings' clients to interact with the company, Structural Graphics said. Clients will use Wings' Web site to order products, design mailers and create custom messages and images.

Wings' initial offerings include pop-up calendars and do-it-yourself dimensional mailers that are self-adhesive pop-up items that can be inserted into existing mailers. New products will be added quarterly, Structural Graphics said.
