Office supply chain Staples has named Steve Bussberg as senior VP of its Staples Business Delivery division. He replaces Pete Howard, who was named senior VP of Staples Southern Europe. Bussberg will be responsible for the overall operations of Staples Business Delivery, which serves small businesses through catalogs and the company’s e-commerce site, Staples.com. The appointment is effective immediately.
Bussberg, who joined Staples in 1990, was previously senior VP of finance for North American Delivery. He has also served as the company’s director of financial planning and analysis.
“Steve has played a key part in making our delivery business the industry leader in sales and profitability,” said Joe Doody, president of Staples North American Delivery, in a statement. “In his new role, Steve brings his strategic perspective and deep knowledge of our business to drive our Staples.com and cross-channel sales to customers shopping online and in stores.”
Based in Framingham, Massachusetts, Staples ranks second worldwide in e-commerce sales.
