Long-distance service provider Sprint Corp., Kansas City, MO, said yesterday that it signed a marketing agreement with MyPoints.com Inc., San Francisco, the Web-based direct marketing company. Sprint will be the exclusive provider of residential long-distance service in the MyPoints program, which targets consumers using e-mail and Web advertising and rewards them with points that can be accumulated to exchange for products and services. Customers who sign up for Sprint long-distance calling plans through MyPoints will earn 1,000 points, and they will earn an additional five points for each dollar spent on Sprint residential long-distance service each month.
