NEW YORK – Shop.com tapped word of mouth marketing firm Bazaarvoice for user reviews, joining other clients like MSN, Pricerunner.com and Smarter.com.
Bazaarvoice, Austin, TX, uses the SyndicateVoice platform to feed customer ratings and reviews to major consumer portals and shopping comparison sites.

Shop.com, Monterey, CA, is an online marketplace that organizes millions of products from more than a thousand merchants in a single location, allowing consumers to shop across them all.
The SyndicateVoice service aggregates and feeds customer ratings and reviews to major consumer portals and shopping comparison sites and allows retailers to place these reviews onto multiple sites.
SyndicateVoice also allows participating portals and shopping comparison sites to extend the reach of their brand by syndicating their original review content to retailers on the Bazaarvoice platform.
Bazaarvoice clients own all ratings and review content generated from their customers. Each client chooses whether or not to share its customers’ reviews across the SyndicateVoice Network, or can pick and choose which portals and shopping comparison site partners can receive their review feeds.
