Sharper Image Corp., San Francisco, said yesterday that April year-to-date sales through the first three months of its fiscal year rose 34 percent to $90.3 million from last year's $67.5 million.
Total store sales increased 26 percent to $50 million from $39.8 million while comparable-store sales rose 12 percent.
Catalog sales of $28.8 million represented a 60 percent rise from the previous year's $18 million. Internet sales, excluding auction sales, increased 35 percent. Internet sales including auction sales rose 18 percent to $11.5 million from $9.7 million.
