SendTec launches SEM and performance consulting division

Internet marketing firm SendTec launched a new search engine marketing (SEM) and performance consulting division called SEMpc this week.

According to the SendTec, the new division is geared toward providing services to midsize to large companies that manage SEM campaigns in-house.

“We’ve been doing this for our own clients for the past two to three years,” said Steven Morvay, EVP and managing director at SendTec. “It’s really more packaging what we already do than inventing something new.”

Sometimes companies that manage SEM campaigns in-house hit a bump in the road and find that they need help fixing a problem, Morvay said. Or, they may have set themselves a specific SEM goal but are unsure how to achieve it, he added. Others may be questioning if they’re maximizing their current business.

This is an opportunity for those businesses to have a third party come in and make recommendations on what they can do better, Morvay said. Clients will be able to customize their level of involvement with the agency, he added.

“We believe there is a tremendous demand in the market place that hasn’t been able to be captured,” he said.

Most of the resources for the new division will come from SendTec’s existing group, with Jonathan Aspell running day-to-day division operations as manager of SEMpc, Morvay said.
