Sears, Roebuck and Co. named e-mail marketing firm CheetahMail as a Sears Partner in Progress for 2004.
CheetahMail, an Experian company based in New York, handles e-mail marketing for Sears. It is the first e-mail marketing company to receive this distinction from Sears.
Ad agency Ambrosi also received this honor from Sears for its work on The Great Indoors, the home décor and remodeling chain. This is the second time Ambrosi has won this award, the first being in 2000 when The Great Indoors launched.
“This award further validates that retailers such as Sears are seeing value not only in e-mail marketing, but in partnering with e-mail service providers that can deliver more than just deployment technology,” Ashley Johnston, spokeswoman for CheetahMail, said last week.
The award is given annually to Sears suppliers in categories like apparel, appliances and tools. More than 10,000 vendors competed for the honor last year.
Introduced more than 20 years ago, the Partners in Progress program recognizes suppliers who help grow Sears businesses and enhance customer service. Sears’ employees who buy goods and services for the retailer nominate and select the winners.
