Sanlam Enjoys Success With Siperian

Sanlam Life, a retail and group life insurance company in South Africa, said yesterday that it deployed Siperian Master Reference Manager from Siperian, San Mateo, CA, to create a central repository of customer reference data.

Siperian MRM lets IT teams consolidate, reconcile and access multiple data sources in multiple modes — batch, scheduled or real-time. It features a rule-based, meta-data driven framework that dynamically determines the most reliable customer information (at a cell level) from conflicting data sources.

Since its rollout last year, Siperian MRM has become the cornerstone of Sanlam's worksite marketing initiative and has helped the company increase revenue and productivity.

By providing unified views of their customers, the initiative has increased the number of policies managed per adviser and reduced the policy lapse rate. The business performance gains from Siperian paid for the solution within nine months.

Once successfully deployed, Siperian MRM delivered a consolidated view of trustworthy customer data from more than 15 disparate data sources.

In the first phase of deployment, four sources were consolidated into a single store within three months.
