Salon.com Begins inChorus Pro Push

Salon.com said yesterday that it would begin a rich media e-mail campaign in the coming weeks to promote the inChorus Pro to some 400 past and present advertisers on its network of content sites.

Meredith Feldsted, director of sales operation at Salon.com, San Francisco, said an inChorus Pro rich media e-mail message would be sent to its top-tier advertisers and agencies in order to persuade them to include the streaming video and sound features of the rich media solution with their marketing strategies.

The partnership will give inChorus the exposure it seeks to push its service. Salon will receive a share of the profits inChorus takes in from advertisers referred to it by Salon, Feldsted said.

“We’re helping to generate leads for them,” Feldsted said.

There are 100 advertisers currently running across Salon’s network of 11 content sites.

Salon drew 2.5 million unique visitors to its network in the first fiscal quarter, which ran from April through June, Feldsted said
