Report: Smartphones and tablets now account for 66% of all email opens

Email continues to be the unsexy, unglamorous workhorse of digital marketing channels, and yet its still one of the most effective. With the rise of mobile, you can now reach consumers whereever they are, and the new mobility of email has given the old channel a new lease on life.

Movable Ink’s US Consumer Device Preference Report for 2014 highlights just how much mobile has energized email marketing. It reports that 66% of all email opens are now through smartphones and tablets. Waiting for consumers to get back to their desktops and laptops to read email simply isn’t efficient anymore.
