E-business software provider, Portal Software Inc. yesterday said that it joined the Siebel Alliance Program.
Siebel Systems Inc., San Mateo, is the leading provider of customer relationship software that automates the sales and customer service operations of large corporations. Its flagship Siebel 2000 eBusiness Applications suite offers client information and decision support to call centers, direct sales teams, resellers, retailers and Web-based sales forces.
The companies plan to join Portal Infranet with Siebel eCommunications 2000. The combined offering will let communications service providers to improve customer satisfaction through real-time customer billing account management.

Portal’s software supports wireless, broadband Internet and next-generation voice offerings. Portal customers include AOL Time Warner, Reuters, Qwest Communications and Sprint.
