Pitney Bowes opened its fifth direct mail presort operating center this week at its Duncan, SC, site. According to a company release, Pitney Bowes executives approved the expansion to fill a void in the southeastern U.S. market.
“For marketers, direct mail remains a critical channel, and is even stronger when combined with digital channels,” said Debbie Pfeiffer, president of Pitney Bowes Presort Services, in a statement. “Our expansion into the Southeast will help make direct mail a more affordable and effective communication tool for our clients.”
The Duncan expansion is part of an ongoing effort at Pitney Bowes to strengthen its position in presort services. In January, it merged its Bensalem and Langhorne, PA, operations into a new 180,000-square-foot facility in nearby Levittown. Its other presort operations are located in Dallas, Milwaukee, and Corona, CA.
